Case Studies
The Art Gallery of NSW (AGNSW) engaged EngTec Consulting to undertake a detailed review of the building mechanical and electrical services and infrastructure. The review identified critical areas of improvement and recommendations. The major recommendation was the upgrade of the central chilled water plant including the optimiSation of the controls and BMS of the building.
A review of the entire mechanical plant identified both fundamental and subtle design issues in the mechanical plant that could put the site at risk or failure and contributed to elevated levels of energy consumption.
Through detailed analysis of the site’s infrastructure and cooling demands, the mechanical plant was reconfigured, upgraded and optimised to incorporate high efficiency water cooled containerized chillers
